YAAAAAY a wallpaper! I'm just full of surprises, aren't I? ^_^

This one has a bit of a story behind it.. This black violin is named Gethin, and belongs (or used to belong to) a particularly devious Nix named Requiem. Born without a soul, as all Nix are, Requiem and his violin, Gethin, have been terrorizing innocents for thousands of years, luring them to their death with sweet music that promises only the most secret of desires.

However, as with all Nix, speaking Requiem's true name would release his soul, which is housed in Gethin's black wood.

Of course, what's little Rayen to do but come up and fall in love with the soulless Nix, and ultimately learn and speak his true name? It was inevitable, really.. So Requiem's soul was released from his darling violin (the white stuff, if you've missed that) and the violin disappeared. Rayen and Requiem, and their happily ever after? Well... That's pending.
